How to use IceTrack

Everything from first launch to your first game report.

In a hurry before a game? Open the app, tap Add Your Roster, paste your team list, and tap Start Game. That's the whole setup — about a minute. Everything below is detail you can read later.

1. Set up your team

On first launch IceTrack shows a demo team so you can poke around. When you're ready for the real thing, tap Add Your Roster on the home screen.

Give the team a name, then paste your roster — one player per line. IceTrack reads most of the formats a team list normally arrives in:

17 Sidney Crosby C
87 Connor McDavid
8 Alex Ovechkin LW
2 Cale Makar LD
31 Carey Price G

Number first, then the name. Add a position on the end if you know it — C, LW, RW, LD, RD, or G for a goalie. If you leave positions off, IceTrack fills them in and sorts players into lines for you. You can fix any of it later from the Team tab.

Mark your goalies. Put G on the end of your goalies' lines — it's the one thing worth getting right up front, because saves and save percentage are attributed to whoever is in net.

2. Start a game

Tap Start Game and enter the opponent, whether you're home or away, and your period length. IceTrack remembers opponents you've played before, so the second time around it's one tap.

3. Track from the bench

The tracker is one screen. The pattern is always the same: tap the player, then tap the stat.

Tracking hands-free

Tap Voice and talk instead of tapping. Say the player then the event:

IceTrack reads the result back so you know it heard you right. Recognition runs on your phone, so it works in a rink with no signal, and your voice is never sent to us.

If you only have one pair of hands

You don't have to track everything. Plenty of coaches only log goals, shots and line changes — that alone gives you ice time, scoring and shot totals. Add more as it becomes second nature.

4. End the game and read the report

Open Game Controls and tap End Game. IceTrack stops the clock, closes out everyone's ice time, and takes you to the game report:

From there you can share a recap into the team chat, or export the whole thing as a PDF or CSV.

5. Across the season

The Reports tab builds any report you want: pick whether the rows are skaters, goalies, games or opponents, choose which columns to show, and filter to the last five games, home games, wins, or a single opponent. Shot heat maps show where a player shoots and scores from.

Tracking with someone else

From your team's Collaborators screen you can invite an assistant or a parent with a short code. You both track the same game live — one person can watch shifts while the other calls shots.

Backing up and syncing

IceTrack works with no account at all; everything is saved on your phone. Sign in and your teams and games sync across your devices and are backed up, so a lost phone doesn't cost you a season. Sync is offline-first — you can track a whole game in a rink with no signal and it uploads later.

Settings worth knowing

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. You can track games forever without one. An account gets you backup, sync across devices, and co-tracking.

What if the clock drifts from the scoreboard?

Game Controls has −10 and +10 second nudges.

What if I forget to end a game?

It stays in progress and the home screen offers to resume it. End it whenever — ice time is calculated from the shifts you logged, not from wall-clock time.

How do I cancel Pro?

Through your store account: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions, or Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Menu → Settings → Delete My Account. Or see Account & Data Deletion.
